365: Day 80

February 18, 2014. “Thanks for Bailing Me Out” Cookies.

I tried to go skiing today, but instead I got my car stuck in the snow at the trailhead. Really stuck. So stuck that I had to call Sean for help. He left work to come bail me out and even with the two of us shoveling, pushing, and cursing…we still couldn’t get it unstuck. Fortunately, a passerby saw us struggling and with his help, we finally got my car out of the snow.

When I got home, I decided to bake Sean some thank you cookies. He definitely earned them. Wish I knew how to send cookies to that other guy – he earned them too.

So here are some baking pictures. Sugar cookies aka “thanks for bailing me out” cookies aka “sorry for getting stuck in the same lot twice in one week” cookies. Oops.

    Snickerdoodles? What a cute spatula…

Sugar cookies. Some have a cinnamon topping, some don’t. I learned today that if they aren’t made with cream of tartar, they aren’t really snickerdoodles.

Just for the record, your pater familias got no ‘thanks for bailing me out’ cookies when he kept mum about those two traffic tickets a certain photographer racked up on consecutive days a few years back.

I guess I’ll just make some ‘suck it up and deal’ cookies for myself to ease the disappointment.
